SANTA'S ELVES FOUNDATION RECEIVES $3,000 PLUM CREEK FOUNDATION GRANT

TOMAHAWK, Wis.--Nov. 15, 2011--The Plum Creek Foundation recently awarded a $3,000 grant to the Santa's Elves Foundation to help fund its annual gift giving and holiday dinner for underprivileged families.

According to Gail Movrich, vice president of the Santa's Elves Foundation, the effort was started to help families that are in need during the holiday season. Each year, Santa's Elves raises funds to provide families that have financial hardships with gifts, gift cards and a warm meal during the holidays.

"Every year we bring presents and food into the homes of families that could not otherwise afford it," said Movrich. "With the help of the Plum Creek Foundation, we are continuing our mission to help as many families as possible during this holiday season."

Santa's Elves Foundation services Price and southern Ashland counties. Its goal is to help relieve financial hardships due to unemployment, low income or other financial circumstances by providing families with gifts and dinner. Children under the age of 18, elders over the age of 62 and those with disabilities qualify for gifts. Each year they raise donations through fund raisers, community contributions and grants.

The mission of the Plum Creek Foundation is to provide philanthropic contributions to support and improve the general welfare of life in the communities that Plum Creek serves.  The Foundation board meets quarterly to review applications submitted from organizations in the company's operating communities.  Visit the Community Involvement page on Plum Creek's website at www.plumcreek.com to download an application.
